Our Team + Who Does What

Bayview has an experienced, qualified and dedicated Ministry Team. In addition to their involvement in church life, our key staff and volunteers come from a range of backgrounds including: education, health care, local government, the not-for-profit and business sector.

  • Steve & Louise Sutton + Senior Pastors

Steve: When I'm not doing the church thing I enjoy cooking, listening to music and podcasts, reading and following English Premier League soccer. Louise: In addition to my role at Bayview, I also run my own bookkeeping business. Any spare time is spent reading historical novels and eating Steve's cooking!

  • Lyn Edwards + Pastoral Care

I coordinate an amazing team of volunteers who generously give of their time and talents to offer care and support within our church community and local neighbourhood, I am invigorated by doing life with family, enjoying valued friendships, craft, singing, walking and camping, overseas travel with a purpose, worshiping God through music and soaking in God's Word.

  • Nate & Lorna Sutton + Youth Leaders

Nate & Lorna have two daughters and a boxer dog called Benji. Nate is a Youth Worker at Concern Australia, providing support to at-risk young people. His passions include art and music. Lorna is a part-time bookkeeper, full-time mum and has studied social work. Her passions include make-up artistry and designing and making flower crowns.

  • Peter Russell + Formation Pastor

By nature I am an encourager, and love engaging community.

Some of my favourite things to do include: walking with my wife Christine along the beach, experimenting with food flavours, especially barbecued smoked meat, playing darts and watching footy. I have a small solutions consulting practice, having invested 32 years in Information Technology.

  • Rose Daykin + Church Administrator

Rose is our administrator. Married with two young children, Rose's employment background includes flight attendant and emergency call taker (000 Police and SES). In the event of a crisis, she's a great person to have around.

  • Ted & Marge Keating + Pastors Emeritus

Ted & Marge came out of retirement to bring together two congregations in decline to form Bayview Church. In recognition of their tireless service and founding role, Bayview formally acknowledged them as Pastors Emeritus on their second retirement on January 29, 2017. Read our Church Council's letter to the congregation outlining their honorary title of Pastors Emeritus.
